Job Summary:

We are seeking a full-time Control Wiring Tech. This position will work under the direct supervision of the Production Team Leader. This position is responsible for the physical assembly, wiring and testing of control panels for industrial equipment. The Technician will fabricate controls to print, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, wiring of all components, installation of control panel onto equipment, and testing to ensure proper operation.

Job Description:

· Dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures

· Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures

· Operation of Computerized labeling & engraving equipment

· Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards

· Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation

· Test panels for proper operation using test equipment

· Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions

· Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication

· Communicate red line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion

· Travel to job sites as required for installation of control panels

· Provide support or general assistance in onsite duties as needed

· Installation, set-up and testing of control panels on equipment

The ideal candidate will exhibit:

· The ability to listen well and take direction as needed

· Proficiency with power and hand tools

· The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

· Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits

· A high standard of quality and attention to detail

· The ability to meet deadlines under pressure

Qualifications

· HS Diploma or GED

· Experience in the construction of control panels

· Similar technical training may be considered in lieu of experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Electrical: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
