Hours: 6pm - 6am, 2/2/3 rotational schedule
Base wage - $33.75 per hour during evaluation period
After successful evaluation period, wage increases to $34.78 per hour with additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift

In this role, you will work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor and participate as a team member of the Maintenance Department. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team, collaborating closely with personnel from various departments such as engineering, production, safety, quality, and suppliers. Your ability to communicate clearly and involvement in equipment repair and preventative maintenance will help minimize equipment downtime and ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This will ensure consistency with business goals, unit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to include safety, quality, efficiency, productivity and customer service.
What you’d be responsible for but not limited to:
Mechanical skill, knowledge and application of technical skills and expertise to ensure the provision of effective technical support within a team, focused on delivering performance targets. Directly contributes to improved safety, quality, efficiency, sustainability and cost.
Ensure all equipment operates safely and complies with all Unilever and OSHA safety standards
Conducting routine safety checks and maintaining a clean work area
Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled activities for processing equipment parts replacement, lubrication, and inspection
Problem solving skills to diagnose and fix issues efficiently while utilizing UMS tools
Repairing faulty, damaged, or worn equipment to maintain basic conditions
Respond to and repair emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and ensure safety
Keep detailed records of work completed and parts consumption utilizing the CMMS software
Breakdown analysis of unplanned failures using the EWO process
Maintaining basic conditions of equipment and implementation of preventative measures to reduce risks of future failures
Communicating with Maintenance Planners to improve PM, TBM, and CBM process for production equipment
Requesting quotes for parts to maintain equipment and inventory
Reading and interpreting machine manuals and procedures to troubleshoot, repair, or identify issues
Working closely with the facilities team as a partnership
Working Environment
Work is performed throughout the facility. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery, chemical exposure, noise, or heavy lifting. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, move equipment; bend, reach, sit or lift for periods of time. PPE can include safety glasses, hearing protection and sanitary/anti-slip safety toe footwear.
Requirements:
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Proficient with hand tools and basic power tools
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a production line mechanic, facilities mechanic or equivalent
Advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery
Good troubleshooting skills
Good time management and communication skills
Ability to comprehend machine manuals and drawings with a clear interpretation of their meaning
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel.
Must be well organized utilizing sound 5S principles
Demonstrate effective organizational skills to handle multi-tasking.
Communicate clearly to production team, support staff, supervision, maintenance leadership and vendors, both verbally and written to maintain high service levels.

Analytical skills
World Class Manufacturing experience from previous roles or employers
Basic fabrication skills/ machine shop skills
Industrial Maintenance Degree/ Certificate
