JOB PURPOSE

You are passionate about the out of home (away from home) channel & love ice cream. You have strong commercial skills to manage customer relationships and grow a business together with our partners. You are not afraid to deep dive into the numbers and are constantly on the lookout for win-wins to turn challenges into opportunities.

Do not hesitate to grab this exciting opportunity because the Out Of Home Ice Cream Team is looking for a new Key Account Officer for some of our biggest wholesalers, the daily management of the Out of Home field team, the management of our external customer service and our freezers.

The Out of Home business excels thanks to very strong brands, strong marketing support and a passionate sales team. The brands we have in our portfolio are Magnum, Cornetto, Ben & Jerry’s, Ola & Carte d’Or. We hold a market leader position in all channels in which we operate.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

The role holds 3 main responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong relationships with current customers and grow them: national wholesalers and buying groups.

  • Day to day management of the Out Of Home field

  • Day to day management of our freezers, together with our Dutch team & our external customer service

This unique combination entails a wide range of different tasks:

Account management of existing national accounts:

Negotiations Customer P&L management, Creation & flawless execution of promotion & activation plan: activate our brands to create maximum visibility & experience in a way that is win-win for us & the customer. Ownership customer promotional/B&MI budget Accurate sales forecasting

Develop and deliver a win-win Customer Strategy and Customer Business Plan through the best integration of the Ice Cream strategy, the customer strategy, and the category strategy.

Identify & unlock new opportunities together with the customers

Develop and manage strong network with customers and organizations

Act as active ambassador of Ice Cream at the customer and of the customer internally

Work in close collaboration with the Sales Lead to develop and align on the Key Accounts Strategy

Management of the daily field operation & preparation/presenting in the monthly field meetings

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience in FMCG or OOH-channel A can-do mentality and true teamplayer, cultivating a culture of entrepreneurship and inclusiveness. An energetic individual with proven negotiation experience and a holistic set of sales skills, with as much passion for strategy as execution and financials.

  • A flexible brain to switch easily between strategy and executing the needed operational tasks to put the plan into place. Planning skills, good organization and fast decision taking required.

  • A commercial business mind-set, experience of understanding a P&L & ability to make clear decisions and collaborate with various stakeholders across different functions (internally and externally)

  • Experience in sales and customer relationship. Experience in the OOH-channel is a strong plus
