Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (3-day weekends!)

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop orders, production instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills preferred.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement practices.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing, plating, assembly, production, or industrial equipment operation experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Experience working with quality inspections, production reporting, and material handling processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proven record of reliable work performance.
  • Ability to learn product specifications, model numbers, and manufacturing procedures.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment around production equipment and chemical processing systems.
  • Ability to load and unload components, operate forklifts, and handle materials safely.

Job Duties

  • Operate plating equipment, assembly machinery, and production systems to apply protective and decorative coatings to metal components used in caster and wheel manufacturing.
  • Prepare parts for plating by cleaning, rinsing, inspecting, and loading materials onto racks, baskets, or conveyors.
  • Monitor plating tanks, chemical levels, temperatures, and production cycles to ensure quality coatings and efficient operation.
  • Perform visual inspections and quality checks to verify plating thickness, finish, and compliance with specifications.
  • Set up tooling, adjust equipment, complete manufacturing documentation, and maintain accurate production records.
  • Identify defects, submit non-compliance reports, and communicate process or equipment issues to supervisors.
  • Support material handling activities, including forklift operation, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
