Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least two years of experience installing or servicing commercial physical-security systems
- Trade-school certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field preferred
- Strong access-control and surveillance equipment installation skills
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with ProdataKey, Milestone Systems, Axis, Turing, Hikvision, Verkada, or similar platforms is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and a working mobile phone
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, stoop, balance, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection
Job Duties
- Install, configure, and test IP-based access-control systems
- Install and service surveillance cameras, intercoms, and related security equipment
- Perform basic system programming
- Add and configure users, card readers, door controllers, cameras, and other devices
- Conduct preventive maintenance and system inspections
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair security-system issues
- Provide professional technical support and customer service
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, upgrades, inventory, and service calls
- Review job files, schematics, and technical documentation
- Ensure installations meet established quality standards
- Communicate project progress to project managers and team members
- Complete projects safely, efficiently, and within budget
- Participate in ongoing training on security technologies and industry practices
