- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education
- High school diploma or GED required. Must be licensed with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy intern before the onset of duties. Must be enrolled in an ACPE accredited pharmacy school.

- Experience
- Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and ability to work in stressful environments is essential. The ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks is also desired. Experience in the healthcare field is preferred.

- Work is conducted in a normal hospital environment, and involves close eye work and hearing within normal range. Operations will be performed on the computer and multiple other types of technology. Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds of weight is possible. Pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds may be encountered. Expect frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.

- JOB SUMMARY
- This position is directly supervised by the Pharmacy Operations Manager and indirectly by Staff Pharmacists. The tasks performed require knowledge about pharmacy procedures and inventory location. The major function of this position is to assist staff pharmacists with the medication dispensing process. Major job responsibilities include medication preparation, medication delivery, inventory management, answering/troubleshooting phone calls, managing automated dispensing cabinets, sterile/non-sterile/hazardous drug compounding, conducting patient medication history interviews, and other duties as assigned. This position may also be responsible for working independently on special projects. This position will be required to work at least one weekend per month.
