Role Description

The Production Director – Snack Bars is a full-time, on-site role based in Jonesboro, AR, responsible for overseeing all aspects of snack bar manufacturing operations. This role manages daily production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and staff supervision to ensure output meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The Production Director collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement production plans, optimize workflows, and resolve operational issues. Responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining compliance with regulatory and food safety requirements, and coordinating with supply chain on materials availability. The role also contributes to strategic capacity planning, supports new product launches, and fosters a culture of accountability, teamwork, and innovation on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Strong production planning and production management skills to oversee daily operations and align output with demand.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing processes and quality management to ensure consistent, compliant, and safe snack bar production.
  • Experience with strategic planning to support capacity expansion, process optimization, and long-term operational goals.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing standards, including GMP, HACCP, and relevant food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a production environment, with the ability to coach teams and manage performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with operations, R&D, supply chain, and quality teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in snack, confectionery, or broader food and beverage manufacturing is highly beneficial.
