Role Description

The Director of Maintenance is a full-time, on-site role based in Jonesboro, AR, responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the facility. This role manages maintenance staff, assigns work orders, and ensures safe, efficient execution of maintenance and repair activities across equipment, building systems, and production areas. The Director of Maintenance develops and implements preventive and corrective maintenance programs, coordinates contractor work, and supports facility upgrades and improvements. Daily responsibilities include monitoring maintenance budgets, tracking inventory of spare parts and tools, enforcing safety and compliance standards, and collaborating with production and quality teams to minimize downtime. This leadership position also involves coaching team members, optimizing facility performance, and contributing to long-term facility management and capital planning.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, with experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating daily activities.
  • Candidates should possess solid Maintenance & Repair abilities, including hands-on experience maintaining mechanical, electrical, and production equipment.
  • Candidates should possess Carpentry and general building maintenance skills for structural repairs, fixture installations, and facility improvements.
  • Candidates should possess Facility Management (FM) and Maintenance Management expertise, including planning, budgeting, and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Relevant experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar regulated production environment is highly beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices in industrial maintenance is required.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
  • Preferred qualifications include a technical degree or certification in engineering, maintenance, or a related field, and experience with CMMS or maintenance management software.
