Why This Job is Important. The Production Supervisor Analyst is a leadership position that supports the Production Manager (VSM) and supervises a hard-working team of machine operators who make wipes for our customers. This important position oversees operations on manufacturing value streams to ensure everything runs seamlessly every day so that our customers’ shelves stay full – and so their customers can buy the wipes they need for their baby, teenager, significant other or parent (or even their pet!) when they need to. It's a big deal.

Our best Production Supervisors are masters of juggling many things at once and have knowledge of manufacturing basics like quality (cGMP) standards, waste reduction, continuous improvement, and productivity and operational equipment efficiencies (OEE). We also prefer that each supervisor has experience in leading and supervising others. Secondary education in a field related to management or business is also preferred but definitely not required. We expect our supervisors to be professional, results and performance-oriented, highly engaged in the business, and be able to drive engagement within their teams.

About You.

What You Can Expect.

As a Production Supervisor Analyst, you would be responsible for providing leadership and directing the daily activities of 15 – 30 machine operators on one or more of our manufacturing value streams that produce our wonderful wipes. You also would work closely and partner with cross-functional leaders from the Safety, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments. Priorities are keeping employees safe and customers happy. Our Production Supervisors must always “think safe” and anticipate obstacles to prevent downtime on the production lines, meet piece count schedules, and ensure the right products are produced at the right time with the right quality and cost. Other day-to-day recurring responsibilities include working with spreadsheets, reports, emails, presentations, timekeeping, payroll, and attending or facilitating various meetings. The Production Supervisor communicates to leadership through data using various shift reports to detail the successes and challenges the production team is experiencing. We expect all of our supervisors to anticipate challenges and solve problems creatively.

What We Expect from You in the Role.

You will prioritize safety and quality, above all things, always. You must be a champion of Nice-Pak; we protect our people, products, and customers. We expect you will always want to learn and grow and help others become better too. Continuous improvement and development are the name of the game. A high school education and demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment OR a bachelor’s degree in management (or another closely related field). We need you to be able to follow directions yet often work independently and know when it's the right time to adjust your work style accordingly. You must demonstrate that you have hands-on knowledge of production systems, project management, leadership skills, influence skills, root cause analysis, SPC concepts, team leadership, ability to self-generate improvement ideas and take into action, Windows operating systems. With over 900,000 square feet of combined warehouse and manufacturing space, our supervisors must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. On other days, there are meetings and desk work, which requires being able to sit for long periods of time. Sometimes, they may need to stretch, bend, squat, climb, or lift up to 25 pounds to complete a task. The non-negotiable things. No shortcuts are allowed. We expect you to support our culture of safety and hold others accountable to it, even if it is uncomfortable. You will work with and lead many people, so you must be able to communicate in a respectful, professional, and purposeful way, both in writing and verbally. You must be able to read and understand basic math principles, solve problems, and be resourceful on a computer, including Microsoft Office. You must commit to taking care of your team. This means approving payroll on time, coaching for success, being a good listener, providing direct feedback in a respectful manner, and being fair.
