The Jonesboro Housing Authority (JHA) seeks a Bookkeeper or Accountant. The individual reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for all accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications Required:

  1. BS in Accounting, Finance or related concentration
  2. Minimum two years- experience as an Accountant preferably with affordable housing accounting or public/non-profit accounting
  3. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  4. Advanced MS Excel skills
  5. Hands-on experience with accounting software
  6. Experience with general ledger functions
  7. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  8. Organized and work quickly to meet all deadlines
  9. Must be bondable, have a valid driver’s license and eligible for coverage with JHA fleet auto insurance.
