Overview
The Director of ERP Systems provides strategic and hands-on leadership for the management, alignment, and continuous improvement of the company’s enterprise-wide ERP environment. This leader will own the overall vision, roadmap, and execution of the ERP portfolio—ensuring stability, scalability, and integration across business units.
The ideal candidate will be both a high-level thinker and a tactical executor—able to interface effectively with stakeholders across IT, operations, sales, finance, and manufacturing. This is an onsite position – candidates must be available to work five days a week at our office.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary owner of the ERP system, leading strategy, execution, and ongoing governance
- Drive alignment between business objectives and ERP capabilities, ensuring effective integration across departments
- Oversee and optimize ERP operations across functions including manufacturing, finance, supply chain, and engineering
- Manage a team of functional and technical resources supporting the ERP platform and applications
- Serve as the key liaison between IT and business leadership (including transition of stakeholder meetings with senior leaders)
- Lead ERP- (and applications) related portfolio planning, including budget forecasting, resource allocation, and project prioritization
- Support strategic initiatives involving Engineer-to-Order (ETO), discrete manufacturing, and process optimization
- Provide guidance on SDLC best practices (understanding of software lifecycle is preferred but hands-on coding is not required)
- Champion data integrity, system integration, and explore modern technologies such as AI/ML for system enhancement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track KPIs, ensure user adoption, and drive business value
- Lead or support major upgrades, enhancements, or ERP system migrations
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT or business systems with 5+ years of leadership in ERP systems
- Experience overseeing large-scale ERP solutions in complex manufacturing environments
- Strong background in ERP governance, cross-functional process mapping, and enterprise integration
- Direct experience with Epicor Kinetic or similar enterprise-level ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor)
- Understanding of Engineer-to-Order (ETO) workflows and manufacturing execution
- Proven experience managing budgets, forecasting, and strategic portfolio planning
- Excellent communication and soft skills, with the ability to translate technical challenges into business impacts
- Ability to lead stakeholder meetings, present to executives, and facilitate collaborative decision-making
- Familiarity with AI, data insights, and digital transformation efforts is a plus

Bachelor's degree desired (in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field); Master’s desired
