The Customer Training Specialist plays a vital role in designing, developing, and delivering engaging training programs that address the unique needs of our engineering-to-order manufacturing environment. They collaborate with our partners to identify skill gaps, analyze training needs, and implement effective solutions. By fostering a culture of learning and development, they enhance their abilities to use, maintain, recommend, engineer, or sell Hytrol Products.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to identify critical skills and knowledge gaps across different departments.
- Conduct needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, identifying their impact on training needs.
- Design and develop comprehensive training programs aligned with identified needs and business objectives.
- Utilize adult learning principles to create engaging and interactive training experiences.
- Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, simulations, and e-learning modules.
- Select and implement appropriate training methods, considering cost-effectiveness and learner preferences.
- Deliver training programs in various formats, including classroom sessions, workshops, and on-the- job training.
- Utilize effective facilitation and instructional techniques to maximize learning outcomes.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
- Maintain training documentation and records.
- Manage training effectively.
- Stay informed about emerging training technologies and methodologies as well as a strong business acumen.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new training initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive training approach.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a training and development role, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with engineering-to-order manufacturing environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Ability to develop engaging and interactive training experiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and training development software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skill
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
Bachelor's degree in training & development or equivalent experience in Adult Facilitation, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or related field
