Overview


The Enterprise Improvement Project Manager plays a critical role in leading high-impact projects that enhance production efficiency and support continuous improvement across the company. This position partners closely with operations, engineering, and leadership to deliver measurable results. This position is responsible for leading and directing a team of Industrial Engineers as they drive process improvement in the manufacturing area by monitoring current processes, identifying waste, and eliminating it. The role has a strong project-management component, including planning, prioritizing, and executing improvement initiatives across the plant. This group plays a key role in determining capital needs, leading projects, developing cost reductions, and driving safety improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage improvement projects from initiation through completion, including defining scope, establishing timelines, assigning tasks, and tracking progress
  • Coordinate cross-functional project activities with Focus Factory management and other stakeholders to implement cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives
  • Develop structured project plans and processes to improve flow in manufacturing
  • Monitor and report on scrap activities for the plant, leading corrective-action projects based on data findings
  • Research and evaluate equipment related to capital improvements and support project planning efforts
  • Provide direction and make job assignments as necessary to meet demands of workload
  • Ensure adherence to established company policy and process, being an advocate for change and innovation to continuously improve

Qualifications

  • Communicates effectively with vendors, employees, and the public
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, including defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
  • Experienced in leading complex projects, including developing scope, timelines, resource plans, and status updates
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clear priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in coordinating cross-functional teams and facilitating collaboration across departments
  • Utilizes structured project-management tools and methods to track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure successful outcomes
  • Capable of carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Five years of related management experience is required

Education


A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of related experience and/or training is required
