Overview

We are currently seeking a Systems Project Engineer at our Jonesboro location. The Training and Development Specialist plays a vital role in designing, developing, and delivering engaging training programs that address the unique needs of our engineering-to-order manufacturing environment. They collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers, production supervisors, and department heads, to identify skill gaps, analyze training needs, and implement effective solutions. By fostering a culture of learning and development, they contribute to improved employee performance, increased productivity, and overall company success.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify critical skills and knowledge gaps across different departments
  • Conduct needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, identifying their impact on training needs
  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs aligned with identified needs and business objectives
  • Utilize adult learning principles to create engaging and interactive training experiences
  • Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, simulations, and e-learning modules
  • Select and implement appropriate training methods, considering cost-effectiveness and learner preferences
  • Deliver training programs in various formats, including classroom sessions, workshops, and on-the-job training
  • Utilize effective facilitation and instructional techniques to maximize learning outcomes
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms
  • Maintain training documentation and records
  • Manage training budgets and resources effectively
  • Stay informed about emerging training technologies and methodologies as well as a strong business acumen
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new training initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive training approach
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with engineering-to-order manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to develop engaging and interactive training experiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and training development software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

Bachelor's degree in Training and Development or equivalent experience in Adult Facilitation, Instructional Design, Business Administration, or related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Training and Development role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
