1. Processes accounts payable.
2. Prepares financial statements, tax documents, including W-2’s, and 1099’s.
3. Prepares timely 5500 reporting documents.
4. Analyzes financial reports and maintains account and bank balances.
5. Prepares audit documents, assists with payroll taxes, general ledger management.
6. Month-end and year-end close processes.
7. Prepares requested reports from Vice President of Operations.
8. Verify and transport deposits to bank daily.
9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
10. Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
11. Function as backup for employee and contractor payroll in absence of HR Generalist.
12. Attend Clinical Supervisor and/or Admin meetings as requested by CEO.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required; master’s degree a plus but not required. 5+ years of experience as an accountant. Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software preferred. Credible/Qualifacts electronic medical record experience is a plus but not required.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
• Ability to retain confidentiality and to collaborate professionally with staff and outside agencies.
• Excellent organizational as well as written and verbal communication skills.
• Medical billing experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of mental healthcare accounting standards preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem- solving skills.
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
