Public Relations Coordinator

The Public Relations Coordinator plays a key role in developing and executing marketing initiatives that strengthen relationships with local referral sources, particularly physicians, and increase brand awareness for our organization. The Public Relations Coordinator will work closely with clinical supervisors to foster business partnerships with community providers, develop marketing materials, represent the company at events, and manage our digital presence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about healthcare marketing and community engagement.
- Coordinate One-on-One Marketing Efforts: Build and nurture relationships with local referral sources, particularly physicians, to ensure effective communication and referral generation.
- Referral List Development: Develop and maintain a potential referral list by clinic. Track and update the list regularly to ensure it is current and effective in connecting with key referral sources.
- Business Partnership Development: Establish business relationships with community providers, including physician specialists, pediatric clinics, daycares, and HeadStart programs. Explore and identify new referral sources to expand community partnerships.
- Liaise with Clinical Supervisors: Collaborate with clinical supervisors to identify and approach potential referral sources. Assist in coordinating luncheons or meetings with these supervisors to strengthen relationships.
- Marketing Materials: Develop and maintain adequate stock levels of brochures, publications, and promotional items that highlight the services and offerings of the organization.
- Community Outreach & Event Representation: Represent the organization at local community events, conferences, health fairs and business expos. Engage with attendees to promote the organization’s mission, services, and value to the community. Review sponsorship, media and advertising opportunities. Coordinate and/or participate in events that engage with the communities we serve.
- Community Group Presentations: Coordinate with clinical supervisors to schedule and present informational sessions to community groups, educating them about the services offered by the organization.
- Staff Orientation: Participate in new hire orientation, introducing new staff to the organization’s culture and marketing strategies.
- Digital Presence Management: Take responsibility for the organization’s social media accounts and website content. Regularly update content, ensure consistency across platforms, engage with followers, and respond to outside reviews.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field preferred or 5 years’ experience in marketing/public relations field.
• Background in healthcare marketing preferred.
• Experience in community outreach, relationship building, and event coordination is a plus.
SKILLS
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies.
• Proficient in digital marketing tools, including social media platforms, website management, and content creation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
OTHER
• Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with various teams, including clinical supervisors and leadership.
• Ability to think creatively and take initiative in outreach efforts.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Extensive travel is required between clinics and public relations events.
- Some overnight stays, evenings, and weekends are required.
- Must be able to work independently and with little supervision.
- Serve clinics with their associated counties as assigned.
