The Training Coordinator will work with all Managers and Supervisors to organize classroom training and yearly training, as well as communicate and prepare material needs for such. In cases where needed, the Coordinator will also perform the training. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for the upkeep of training records in the employee’s personnel file.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure employees have clear instruction through classroom training and proper documentation, ensuring employees know and understand the rules and procedures of the Company and the expectations of the position for which they are being trained.

· Evaluate and revise all training material to ensure accuracy when asked or needed.

· Look for and conclude that all required training records needed by the Human Resource Department are being turned in and training is properly documented and signed.

· Ensure all training is properly recorded in the personnel file.

· Communicate with the Supervisors and Managers when specific training needs to be renewed and when it is scheduled.

· Facilitate communication between HR and the Department Management for any training that takes place.

· Be prepared to act as Trainer if needed.

· Cross train with other members of the Human Resource team and assist in other areas when needed.

This position may be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

· A high school diploma, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an office environment.

Comprehension and Communication Skills

· Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to carry out instructions given in written or oral form.

· Ability to write reports and correspondence.

· Ability to speak effectively among groups of employees.

Mathematical Skills

· Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

· Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer Skills

· Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions given in written or oral form.

· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

This position requires the use of hearing protection, hard-soled tennis shoes or boots, safety glasses, and gloves when traveling through the production area.
